Responsibilities

  • Help the project manager create a detailed plan for the construction process by discussing project specifications with the client

  • Assist the project manager with any other duties as needed for the entire project

  • Confirm that specialized tasks are completed correctly by hiring the appropriate subcontractors and construction workers with proper licensure

  • Incorporate client feedback during the building process and help the construction crew and subcontractors execute change orders

  • Supervise all construction workers and subcontractors, inspect their work, and provide direction when needed to ensure the job is high quality

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and time-management skills

  • A high school diploma is required, bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Possesses a deep understanding of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building codes, permits, construction equipment, material resources, project management principles, and construction methods

  • Minimum 1 year work experience as a general contractor needed, with 3+ years preferred

  • Physically capable of using heavy equipment and lifting at least 40 pounds
